On-Going Support

PS&J can support the internal teams responsible for deploying improved practices by

  • helping them to understand the goals and requirements associated with each applicable PA

  • pointing out the various methods of implementing each PA and trading-off the alternatives

  • providing templates for policies and procedures and assisting in their customization.

  • putting policies and procedures in place

  • training staff in performing the new practices

  • understanding roles and responsibilities

  • providing automated metrics collection and analysis

When we work with larger organizations, formal training covers a lot of these activities. For smaller organizations, we can train the responsible people one-on-one in an environment that would be closer to tutoring than to a classroom experience. All of our training reflects our fundamental belief that measurement is a pre-requisite for effective management, and that on-going management is a pre-requisite for an effective process.

PS&J can also provide mentoring as needed during this phase, typically via teleconference, e-mail, or on-site visits.
