Introduction to CMMI

Description:  This course introduces systems and software engineering managers and practitioners, appraisal team members, and engineering process group (e.g., SEPG, EPG) members to the CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration)). The course covers CMMI maturity levels and their characteristic process areas.  After attending the course, participants will be able to understand how CMMI models can apply to their organization’s process improvement program. Successful completion of this course is a prerequisite for Intermediate Concepts of CMMI, SCAMPI Lead Appraiser Training, and CMMI Instructor Training

Tailoring:    This course is available in three formats, the staged representation, the continuous representation, or the new SEI combined course covering both the staged and continuous representations of the CMMI model.
